Udayakumar Gopika
Research Scholar
Ms. U. Gopika completed her postgraduate degree from the University of Calicut in 2021, followed by a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Calicut in 2023. She further enhanced her expertise by pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Analytical Chemistry from Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram in 2024. She gained valuable research experience as an intern at CSIR–North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), Jorhat. Currently she is a Ph.D. student under the guidance of Dr. Abhilash Pullanchiyodan, at the department of Chemistry. Her research is focuses on the development of two-dimensional hierarchical structured functional materials for advanced energy storage applications and flexible wearable devices for next-generation sustainable energy technologies.
RESEARCH SCHOLARS
Ms. Vidya holds a Master of Science (M. Sc.) in Chemistry degree from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, where she built a strong foundation in materials chemistry, electrochemistry, and nanomaterials. During her postgraduate studies, she completed a research internship at the Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM), Kunnamangalam, Kozhikode. Now, she is working as a research scholar under the guidance of Dr. Abhilash Pullanchiyodan. Her research interests include polymer electrolytes, nanofibrous materials, electrochemical energy storage, supercapacitors, and advanced functional materials. Her research aims to enhance the electrochemical performance, safety, flexibility, and long-term stability of hybrid supercapacitors through the development of innovative nanofibrous electrolyte membranes.

Vidya V. Nair
Ms.Shaik Gousia have completed M.Sc. in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry specialization) from KL University, Andhra Pradesh. During her M.Sc. she completed an industrial internship at Chemj Pharma, Hyderabad. Her research focuses on the design and development of advanced functional materials for electrochemical energy storage and sensing applications. Currently she is pursuing Ph. D. at STEM-SRMIST, under the guidance of Dr Abhilash Pullanchiyodan.

Shaik Gousia
Archana Mani completed her postgraduate degree in Chemistry from Periyar University in 2019. She earned her Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai in 2017. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr. Abhilash Pullanchiyodan in the Department of Chemistry. Her research focuses on the development of PVA-based polymer nanocomposites for advanced food packaging applications, with emphasis on improving mechanical, thermal, antibacterial, antioxidant, and barrier properties using bio-inspired nanomaterials.
